What We Do

Dangerous Goods Services Pty Ltd aspires to be recognised as Queensland’s number one provider of nationally recognised training for people who prepare, load and transport dangerous goods throughout Queensland and across Australia. 

We specialise in the delivery of premium-quality training programs covering the preparation, loading, and transport of dangerous goods by road and rail. Our courses provide in-depth training and assessment, delivered by highly experienced and extensively credentialed trainers.

We recognise the critical importance of accurate and current regulatory knowledge within the transport industry. Accordingly, our training is delivered in an engaging and approachable manner, while maintaining the professionalism, credibility, and integrity expected of a Registered Training Organisation (RTO).

Course Training Dates

Training Locations

We currently run courses once a week and one weekend of every month at our Underwood office. We also offer courses at Rockhampton once every month and Mackay every three months.
We can also hold them on site at your facility as requested.

Please phone us to discuss minimum numbers. All our participants receive comprehensive guidance materials and training support that combines excellent teaching practice with current industry knowledge.

Who We Are

Dangerous Goods Services Pty Ltd is a proudly Australian-owned and operated company specialising in the delivery of TLILIC0001 – Licence to Transport Dangerous Goods by Road and TLID0018 – Prepare for Transport of Dangerous Goods training for participants in Queensland.
 
Established in 1997 as a family-run business by John and Susan Mills, the organisation transitioned leadership to the current Owner and Managing Director, Fiona Glancy, who continues to build on its strong foundations. Dangerous Goods Services is a preferred training provider due to its extensive industry knowledge, respected reputation, and long-standing experience working with a wide range of high-profile organisations. Fiona and her team have also developed a broad and valuable network of contacts across diverse sectors of the transport industry.

Fiona Glancy

Director
Fiona has had over 20 years’ experience in strategic management, governance and project management. With her vast knowledge in team management combined with outstanding communication skills, Fiona is a unique and valuable asset to DGS. The personal relationships Fiona has built throughout her careers sees DGS integrated as a key delivery partner with participants to provide services across industries. This leads to DGS not only gaining continuous business but also new business through referrals.

Jacob Carr

Course Instructor
Jacob has over ten years’ experience in the transport of dangerous goods across New Zealand and Australia. He began his career with a small biotechnology company in New Zealand and more recently worked as a Warehouse Manager for an Australian scientific supplies organisation. In these roles, he was directly responsible for the manual handling, storage, packing, and consignment of dangerous goods transported by both road and sea.
 
Jacob has a comprehensive and detailed understanding of dangerous goods legislation, codes, and regulatory guidelines. He holds the TAE40116 – Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, TLID0018 – Prepare Dangerous Goods for Transport, and TLILIC0001 – Licence to Transport Dangerous Goods by Road, HLTPAT005 – Collect Specimen for Drugs of Abuse Testing. He has also successfully completed AMSA-approved Maritime General Awareness and Maritime Function-Specific Dangerous Goods training.
 
Jacob is passionate about designing and delivering accurate, appropriately detailed training materials. His training is presented in a logical, structured manner and broken down into clear, easy-to-understand components to support effective learning outcomes.
